Must Try Monday {Monkey Bread}

This week's Must Try Monday co host is sharing a quick, easy, comforting breakfast with us today-Caramel Monkey Bread.  I have to say, Monkey Bread was one of the first things I learned to make in 4H, and I really love it even still!  Welcome Lori from Lori Ann's Food and Fam with this week's Must Try Monday recipe.

Interesting in co hosting MTM?  It's super easy, I promise.  Just fill out the form on the Contact tab and we'll go from there!

Sharing Life's Recipes.....One Bite & One Sip at a Time

It's Sunday Morning....

A time when the pace is a little slower,  laid back.

The kids are sleeping  in...
the coffee is brewing...
it's quiet...
shhh..
Once I have achieved my coffee induced zen,  I'm inspired.

I flip through my trusty cookbooks and discover my favorite monkey bread recipe.

It's like an old friend has been found.  I feel comforted, happy.
Let the day begin.
Caramel Monkey Bread
3 (12 ounce) Tubes, Refrigerated Biscuits
1 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Butter
 1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
1/2 Cup Raisins
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease one 9 or 10 inch tube pan
2.  Mix white sugar & cinnamon in a plastic bag. Cut biscuits into quarters.  Shake 6 to 8  biscuit pieces in the sugar mixture.    Arrange pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan.  Continue until all biscuits are coated and placed in pan.  If using nuts & raisins, arrange them in and among the biscuit pieces as you go along.
3.  In a small saucepan, melt the margarine with the brown sugar over medium heat.  Boil for 1 minute.  Pour over biscuits.
4.  Bake @ 350 degrees for 35 minutes.  Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate.  Do not cut.  The bread just pulls apart.
