Am I alone in the fact that I can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief because I’m not hosting Thanksgiving dinner this week? I’m so blessed to live 15 minutes from my parents AND my in-laws, both of which insist on hosting Thanksgiving. Yay! Although, someday I’m sure I’ll be welcoming my children, grandchildren, and others into my home for the thankful holiday. And I’ll be excited, frenzied, and cooking up a storm. But for this year, I’ll sit back, contribute some Pumpkin Gingersnaps to the dessert table at each gathering, and let others do the planning.
Our menu this week is chock full of comfort foods….and a new chili recipe that I want to try. I’ve been on the hunt for a new chili recipe, so I searched on Pinterest, and pinned what I hope will be a great recipe.
Sunday: Pizza Night
Monday: Dinner at various places-I’ll be at school, the kids will be at Grandma’s, and the hubby will be at work.
Tuesday: Sloppy Joes, Potato Chips, Green Beans
Wednesday: Chicken Broccoli Casserole
Thursday: Thanksgiving Dinner @ my aunt’s house
Friday: Chili and Beer Bread
Saturday: Pork Roast in the Crockpot, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you enjoy the time with your families. I am truly thankful for all of you who take the time to read my blog! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
