Little Pumpkin Baby Shower Mantel

Decorating for the baby shower, I knew I wanted to utilize my mantel in some way.  I've had so much fun changing it out each season, or when I get a whim.  So, in making decorations for the shower, I created some things that could easily be used for the mantel and our other fall decor.

Using the hooks we have inserted in the mantel for a Christmas garland, I tied some jute to each end, like a clothesline.  Then, using my small clothespins, I hung onesies, pacifiers, and caps to the jute.

My parents had some pumpkins ready, just in time, for me to use for the shower.  I chose three that were fairly the same size and shape for the mantel.  I cut some black vinyl letters using my Cricut and spelled the word "boy"....since she's having a boy :) .  I think for Halloween, I'm going to cut another "o" and change the "y" to an "o" to spell "boo".

I added some painted Mason jars with flowers and hurricane lamps filled with coffee beans and vanilla candles.  Done!

Do you decorate your mantel for parties?  Or do you leave the same decorations on it all year long?  What is your favorite season to decorate your mantel?

    So cute!
I decorate our mantle for each holiday/season. It is so much fun bringing out the old stuff and adding new things each year.
My favorite holidays to decorate for are Halloween and Christmas!

Hey, I'm a new follower via the GFC hop! I'm 22 weeks with our second little boy and I am totally going to steal this idea! Maybe not for a shower (because I doubt I'm having one) but for a few maternity photos this fall! Absolutely adorable!

Oh, this is so cute. My niece is having a boy but she's not due until January so we have to wait a bit. We might be into Christmas decorations then. :) Oh, I'd love to have you come and link up to our Pumpkin Linky Party going on right now at our blog, mine and my sister's. It's up all month and I'll be featuring everyone over the next month. Best wishes, Linda

cute. I never thought about doing a pumpkin theme although I'm sure I've referred to kids as little pumpkins all the time. Thanks for the great idea
