If I can find a good recipe hack, I am a happy camper. Like Cheese Garlic Biscuits? I mean, don’t you crave those from Red Lobster every once in awhile? Remember my Homemade Bisquick recipe? I finally got around to it today and tried it out for my Cheese Garlic Biscuit recipe. They turned out great! I wish I had made two or three batches of the biscuits to put some in the freezer, but I wanted to see how they turned out first. The next time I do some batch cooking, I’ll for sure make two more batches or so.
Cheese Garlic Biscuits
2 c baking mix
2/3 c milk
1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese (I use cheddar or a monterey jack cheese-whatever I have on hand)
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t salt
Mix these together until a soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes.
Melt 1/4 c butter and 1/4 t garlic powder and mix together. Brush over warm biscuits just before serving. (**I skip this step if I am freezing them. To reheat them, I wrap the biscuits in foil and reheat at 350 for about 15-20 mins. Then, I brush them with the melted butter and garlic powder mixture.)
