Princess….I think that should be Natalie’s middle name. I mean, really. She has two older brothers, she is the only girl we have, and she loves anything and everything sparkly and shiny and girly. I personally wouldn’t have it any other way! So, for her birthday, we did a little room makeover. We wanted it to be “princessy”, but not Disney princess. You should all know by now that around the Hurst house, we love us some Disney travel, movies, music, and magic. BUT, believe it or not, our house is not-nor will ever be-“Disney-fied”. Including the kids’ rooms. So, playing with the princess theme, I created this Princess Jewelry Hook so Princess Natalie can have her jewels within easy reach and they won’t get tangled in her jewelry box.
Did you know your Silhouette Cameo can perform a Print and Cut function? It can! This function is amazing when creating invitations, announcements, and greeting cards. It is exactly what you think-you send your paper through your printer from the Silhouette-and then send it through your Cameo or Portrait to cut it in the shape you’ve designed. Awesome! For the March Silhouette Promo, Silhouette America is featuring print and cut supplies in a bundle with the Cameo or Portrait.
Green and spring….perfect together, right? I don’t decorate for St. Patrick’s Day-because I’m busy celebrating the best mother in law EVER [for real}, but I couldn’t say no to my friend Laura at Laura Kelly Designs. A few weeks ago, I got an email from my friend Laura Kelly @ Laura Kelly Designs inviting me to be part of a Rainbow Blog Hop.
I’m all about personalized gifts. Whether it’s with a monogram or the name of the recipient, I love adding that personal touch. And that means I usually get to use my Silhouette Cameo :). So, when my sister had my sweet little niece, I knew that for a shower gift, I’d be making he something personal, and something that will remind her of how much God loves her. Piggybacking on my Family Tile, I came up with this Baby Name Tile for her. It’s so unique, fairly easy, and personal.
This post is on behalf of Global Influence. I was sent an assortment of Hershey’s Candy to utilize for baking, creativity, etc. as part of this post. All opinions are 100% mine.
Did you know you can win a HUGE assortment of HERSHEY’s candy? Any look at my Pinterest boards, and you know that I have a slight addiction to the peanut butter/chocolate combination. Then, you go to the Desserts page here on My Favorite Finds, and it’s confirmed. My go to dessert combination is peanut butter and chocolate. When Easter comes around, I am all over those REESE’s Easter Eggs. Anybody else? I LOVE them….even more so than regular Reese’s Cups. Why? I don’t know.
Valentine’s Day tends to be overshadowed in our house. The boys’ birthday is on February 15th, so we are usually knee deep in birthday preparations or parties on Valentine’s Day. But, I still want to show some extra sweet love to the boys, and Natalie, during the month of February. We started the 14 Days of Love on February 1, and we’ve been going strong every since ! Although, we are still a week from Valentine’s Day. But, I wanted to share this with you, in hopes that you can start this fun tradition in your house for the next 7 days. On Valentine’s Day, we’ll culminate with a gift card to their favorite place as an extra special treat.
This December Silhouette Challenge is EPIC! You know, every month I have loved participating in this challenge. And, the inspiration and encouragement that come from this group of ladies is AWESOME! You all know I LOVE crafting with my Silhouette, and that awesome-sauce Silhouette Black Friday Sale that was happening until December 8th, makes me hope that a lot of you ordered machines, or supplies, and getting ready to get your Silhouette craft on over the Christmas holidays and when that cold weather sets in! However, if you DIDN’T order a machine, or you need some crafting supplies for those snowy winter days, my sweet gals and I with the Silhouette Challenge are bringing you a chance to win $155 to Amazon!
Handmade ornaments can add beauty, fun, and whimsy to any Christmas tree. Or, how about adding some to the gift bows on those pretty packages you wrap up? Today, I am bringing you 50 of the best Handmade Ornament ideas from around blog land. I hope you’ll find some inspiration, new ideas, and some fun ornaments to create with your children!
Homemade ornaments don’t just have to be yarn and popsicle sticks. Nor, do you need a lot of time to make one. With a few supplies from JoAnn’s, I was able to craft this pretty ornament in about half an hour on Sunday afternoon. I modeled it after the ribbon topiary I made for Natalie’s birthday cake table, and the Ribbon Ruffled Pumpkins I made for our fall decor.
I was compensated with DecoArt Multisurface paints to complete this project. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love using DecoArt Multisurface paints, so when I saw this fun color palette for Christmas, I knew I had to make something fun! We love to have a Christmas countdown in our house, and working in some Biblical character traits is a must as we enjoy the Advent season. You may remember me mentioning this project in our Silhouette Challenge post from this month. So, today I’m going to share with you how I made this Advent Star Christmas Countdown.
