Hey y’all! Jaime here with a super simple, semi-homemade breakfast recipe that’s perfect for Fall! My family loves apples all year round but there’s just something about having warm, cooked apples in the Fall that just feels right! And the only thing that goes better with apples than peanut butter is caramel!
So this morning we’ve got a delicious Caramel Apple Sticky Bun Ring to share! It was absolutely delicious! Similar to a monkey bread, this would make a perfect breakfast for the Holidays or great for a brunch!
Seriously, who wouldn’t want to start their day with some of this delicious gooeyness?
I would just simply recommend increasing the number of biscuit cans you use from 1 to 2 so that way you will have a full, perfect ring instead of it ending up like this 😉
Caramel Apple Sticky Bun Ring
- 2 cans refrigerated jumbo sized biscuits (ie Pillsbury Grands)
- 2 apples, 1 cored & diced and 1 cored & thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup pancake syrup
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Spray a fluted pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl; set aside. In a second small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and diced apples.
Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar apple mixture over the syrup. Lay the biscuits, alternating with the thinly sliced apples on the bottom of the pan, overlapping the edges of the biscuits to form a ring. I put about 2 apple slice in between each biscuit to make sure that the biscuits were still touching so they would bake together. Top the biscuits with the remaining syrup and then with the remaining brown sugar apple mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute in the pan and then invert onto a serving platter.
