Birthday Camouflage Dog Tags

Matthew and Lucas's birthday theme this year was camouflage everything.  And, with them being twins, people STILL mix them up.  To avoid any confusion, AND make it fun for them....I made them each a set of dog tags to wear as part of their camo themed birthday.

Of course, we had the typical black, green, and brown camo pattern.  I even found them some camouflage pattern t shirts at Target to wear for their party.

But, their ensemble was complete with these "birthday" dog tags I whipped up for them to wear.

All I used was my Cricut, card stock, and some Army themed stickers from JoAnns.

I used the Georgia/Basic Shapes cartridge and cut out 8 "gift" tags from dark green card stock.

Then, I used a glue stick to paste them together, back to back, so they were a little more reinforced.

Next, I cut out two rounded corner rectangles using silver card stock.  I have these nifty markers that you can replace your cutting blade with, so I used those to draw an "M" on one and an "L" on the other.

Finally, I glued the silver in the center of the green tags. I glued them a little offset.   I added some stickers to the front and for their ID number on the back, I used silver number stickers.

Their ID numbers are their birthday, with an "A" at the end of Matthew's and a "B" at the end of Lucas's.

Voila!  Add some string, and they were happy and added a fun detail for their party.
