About {ME}
My name is Carrie, and I'm married to my high school sweetheart. We're a church family-my hubby is a pastor and I am a former Lutheran school teacher. I graduated from college with my degree in Elementary Education, with minors in Language Arts and History. I taught LA for about seven years, and then decided I wanted to focus on my family more. So now, I'm a librarian in a junior high school! We are blessed with three sweeties-twins Matthew and Lucas and our princess Natalie.
We are a Disney loving family, and have made it a yearly vacation for about four years in a row. I also contribute to the Disney planning site, Chip & Co. I love to share my Disney planning tips so feel free to ask for advice or ideas if you're planning a Disney vacation. My only "craftiness" came through scrapbooking, but in the last few years, I've learned to craft with other mediums and I have found I really love making items for our home. I am a Starbucks addict, and I love to be in the kitchen. I'm so thankful my mom encouraged me to participate in 4H...without that, I'd be lost in the kitchen!
We live in Central Ohio, in our hometown. It's such a blessing and a rarity, for us to be raising our kids in the town we grew up in. Everyday is an adventure when you have multiples....and a preschooler running around!

My Favorite Finds started a few years ago, when I decided I wanted to have a place to keep my recipes, crafts, and organization ideas without cluttering up our personal family blog. It has blossomed into a place where I love to share my creativity and ideas I find out in the vast area of "blog land". I want to encourage my readers to choose joy in their everyday situations. I have made a decision to choose joy in every situation, and I hope others will too.
